🦝 HANDMADE POSSUM BOX

Give your local possums a safe, dry home of their own. Our handmade Possum Box is individually built in Queensland from reclaimed pallet timber and sized for Brushtail Possums, with Ringtail sizing available on request.

Possums naturally live in tree hollows, but these can take 100+ years to form and are disappearing as mature trees are removed. Without hollows, possums often move into roofs and sheds. A possum box mounted in a nearby tree gives them a safe alternative and is one of the most common ways to encourage possums out of your roof space.

🌿 Natural Timber (Raw) – $60

Our original handcrafted finish, left untreated to showcase the natural character of the reclaimed timber. It can be left natural or finished by you if desired.

🛢️ Natural Timber (Oiled) – $70

Finished with premium 100% Pure Linseed Oil on the exterior to enhance the timber's natural grain and colour while helping protect it from the weather.

🎨 Painted Exterior (Sealed) – $80

Finished with durable exterior paint in your choice of green, brown, black or camouflage, then sealed with clear lacquer for added weather protection. Ideal for blending into your garden or bush setting.

🦝 CHOOSE YOUR POSSUM

Brushtail Possum — Standard 125mm entrance
Sized to comfortably accommodate the stockier body of a Brushtail Possum.

Ringtail Possum — Typically 70–80mm entrance
A smaller entrance suited to the slender Ringtail Possum while helping discourage larger possums from taking over the box. A possum drey may be a more suitable option for Ringtails, so contact us if you're unsure.

🧹 REMOVABLE FLOOR FOR CLEANING

The removable floor panel lets you clear out old nesting material and check the condition of the box without dismantling it.

Never open, clean or disturb a nest box while it is occupied. Always wait until you are certain the animals have left before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance.

🌿 INSTALLATION

Mount your Possum Box approximately 3–5 metres above ground on a mature tree, with the entrance facing away from prevailing weather where possible. A quiet, sheltered spot will encourage possums to move in.

For boxes installed at greater heights, professional installation by a suitably experienced arborist or nest box installer is recommended.

Wildlife may sometimes inspect or occupy boxes intended for another species, so occupancy cannot be guaranteed.
